Bennett Aerospace, Inc. has an opening for a highly motivated Engineer I located at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This position is considered an entry-level engineering or chemist position. Typical responsibilities include designing and developing plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems. In addition, the successful candidate will report directly and responsively to the Bennett Aerospace Program Manager on all immediate project work and will work with minimal direction on analysis assignments.

This level of engineering performs standard electromagnetic interference (EMI) tests to MIL STD 461 requirements, basic system administration functions on test equipment and test controllers, review and preparation of technical reports and similar engineering documents. This position takes initiative and a willingness to continually improve both professional skills and laboratory practices; to be the best in the field.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with proficient technicians testing a variety of items to stringent standards.
Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
Radio-frequency (RF) testing with equipment such as: Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generator, Power Meters, Network Analyzers as well as antenna patterns and pointing antennas as well as general knowledge of radios.
Automate test equipment using Python, Matlab or similar language.
Develop, produce, and maintain technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
Prepare technical reports and basic drawing or drafting.
May organize and supervise a group of employees for a given project, contract or job and be responsible for schedule, and technical performance.
Perform other related or associated duties as required.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related scientific field
0 to 5 years experience
Competent in Python, MatLab, or similar computer language.
Knowledge of antennas, digital signal processing, and test equipment.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
Experience programming/automating test systems.
System administrator experience.
Experience performing antenna modeling, filter design, or evaluations of electronic items.
Preferred Qualifications:

Hold an amateur or commercial radio license.
Kennedy Space Center experience supporting NASA.
iNARTE certification in EMI, WIFI, or similar RF area.
