Title: Patient Representative:
4 Months contract
1 Full-time open position.
Shift hours: 5- 8hr shift from Sunday- Thursday 2p-10:30P or 4 -10hour shifts from Sun- Wed 2P- 12:30a; 40 hours per week.
This position will be onsite; at Columbus, OH 43210
Pay Range: $20-25/hr on W2

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: Bachelor of Science or Art, or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 5 years experience in customer service or patient relations desiredAbility to use PC and Microsoft Office products software to produce financial and operational projections and develop service coverage schedules. Evidence of highly developed, effective interpersonal communication skills, telephone skills, effective decision making, Lead/Supervisory skills, organizational skills, and service recovery skills.

Physical/Visual/Mental Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and others directly or by telephone
Concentrate and pay attention for periods up to 10 hours to perform such duties as handling phone inquiries, serving patients and family members in a positive manner, and effectively assist guests with finding their way
Operate telephone and other communication devices
Positively and effectively give directions via landmarks, signage and mapping located throughout the Medical Center
Respond quickly; handle multiple priorities simultaneously; manage personal and environmental stressors
Move small equipment, such as visitors in wheelchairs, from one location to another

The Patient Representative functions include responding to family and visitor concerns through empathetic verbal communication skills. This employee provides proactive customer service interventions by anticipating the needs and feelings of families and visitors. The Patient Representative utilizes, as necessary, interpersonal, diplomacy, and conflict management skills, and service recovery approaches.
