Minimum:

8 years of Network Security, Solution Engineering, or Network Design/Engineering experience
BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
3 years of experience implementing F5 Application Delivery Controller solutions in an Enterprise environment, specifically the LTM, GTM modules
1 year of experience managing security policies for Web Application Firewall


Desired:

5-10 years of experience designing and implementing F5 Application Delivery Controller solutions in an Enterprise environment, specifically the LTM, GTM, ASM, and APM modules
1 -3 years of experience creating, deploying and managing security policies for the F5 Application Security Manager (ASM/WAF)
Relevant, hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following technologies:
PKI/Certificate Management
DNS
Infoblox (IPAM, DNS)
Experience in the Utility Industry and meeting audit requirements for NERC and WECC


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrated team player with strong and effective customer care skills
Experience with F5 products in highly available and on-prem, public/private cloud environments
Experience with F5 Big-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM), Global Traffic Manager (GTM/DNS), Access Policy Manager (APM), and Application Security Module (ASM)
Understanding of network security concepts, including segmentation and defense-in-depth strategies
Experience with automation using scripting languages (Python, Perl, BASH shell scripting, etc)
Experience deploying, maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting with F5 products in highly available, enterprise-level network environment with minimal down time
Ability to work with IT personnel at all technical levels, ranging from end-user and application developers to Architects, Solutions Engineers, and Project Managers to meet aggressive project deadlines


Job Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network security hardware, software, devices and appliances in support of client’s on premise data centers and cloud deployments.
Prepare network or infrastructure Visio topology diagrams, write Standard Operating Procedures and maintenance plans, and provide status reports as required.
Participate in troubleshooting calls and other operational and maintenance tasks.
Assist with technical issues, project management, design, analysis, and implementation of network security solutions as needed.
Develop and execute mitigation plans for technical issues.
Prepare periodic maintenance plans and comply with change management procedures.
Maintain detailed knowledge of company network and technology standards.
Work closely with other IT groups to ensure systems are maintained in an efficient manner, and communicate all issues, changes, outages, and maintenance in accordance with processes, procedures, and policies.
Responsible for technical support and administration of critical infrastructure network components
