Job Description: Pipeline Developer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 6 Months+



Pipeline Developer
The Pipeline Developer works with the studio director and department
supervisors to develop and support tools to accelerate workflow in the
production of high quality still and motion imagery. The ideal candidate
will have experience in scripting for Adobe and Autodesk products, Render
farm and cloud concepts, and experience in multiple operating systems
including linux based systems

Key responsibilities:



- experience with software development in a production environment is a
MUST. -ideally has experience working in a vfx company. - database
development or operation experience -work history with CG tools and
software

- Develop and support tools to accelerate and streamline workflow
- Identify changing requirements and recommend solutions
- Manage render scenes, light rigs and production assets
- Drive the uptake of new tools across the studio
- Work with client and other internal teams to ensure tools aren't
duplicated

REQUIREMENTS:

- Proficient in Javascript, Python, and Linux shell languages (csh,
tcsh, bash)
- Minimum of 3 years? experience required in visual effects or high end
commercial based work
- Strong understanding of Motion Graphics production pipelines
- Sound understanding of Motion Graphics techniques and technologies
- Strong ability to multitask, organize, and problem-solve while keeping
a calm demeanor under tight deadlines
- Proficient with one or more software APIs: Photoshop, After Effects,
Maya, Nuke, VRay, Deadline, ShotGrid (Formerly Shotgun), CSS, HTML, Node,
NPM, and GiT, Adobe Extend Script, Applescript languages
- Must have a mature approach to software design and implementation
- Experience with Visual Effects Asset Management System design or
development is a plus
- Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems
- Ability to thrive as a member of a team
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
