DAC Enterprises Pty Ltd is a Civil Engineering and Construction Company based in Darwin, Northern Territory.

For over three decades we have continued to build an enviable reputation for reliability and service throughout the Northern Territory. Whilst our core business is Civil Construction and Engineering services we also have Plumbing, Transport and Quarry divisions which also contribute to the Company''s success.

The Project Coordinator''s role is office based however will require some site visits from time to time. Reporting to the Construction Manager your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Start-up of Project

Interpret plan and estimate costs and quantities of materials needed

Study contract documents and negotiate with sub-contractors

Develop Project Work Codes

Organise appropriate documentation for clients

Organise any permits required

Provide information to Accounts for Bank Guarantees, Insurances etc

Order materials that are required specifically those requiring more lead time.

Set up a project specifics Quality Plan including Inspection and Test Plan, Construction Procedure, Environmental Management Plan and Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, Safety Management Plan, Traffic Management Plan

Execution of Project

Prepares Monthly Progress Claims for invoicing by Accounts

Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Payment to Accounts for invoicing by the 1st of each month for the previous month (timing will depend on project specifications)

Liaise with clients throughout job

Compile variations to contract

Monitor applicable extension of times and initiate request with the client

Meet with DAC Management on a regular basis to assess any site issues, identify foreseeable project issues, update Works Program, etc.

Qualifications (desirable):

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Project / Construction Management

Minimum of three (3) years'' experience in Civil Construction and experience supporting Project / Construction Managers in the delivery of development projects.

Demonstrated ability to develop clear project plans and timelines, regularly communicate with stakeholders including project team members and monitor project progress.

Proven ability to effectively monitor work, analyse and prioritize elevated levels of information and convert ideas and objectives into actions.

Workload Management and Time Management

Possess the ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks.

Problem Solving Multi-Tasking skills

Ability to appropriately prioritize problems, gather and analyse the right information to identify symptoms and causes and identify the right people to involve to achieve better conclusions.

Computer skills

Demonstrated ability with regard to computer skills, including excellent word processing capabilities, proficiency with e-mail and internet applications and data base applications and experience using programs such as (MS Word, Benchmark, MS Projects and Excel).

Writing skills (Reporting)

Proven ability to use clear, concise language in correspondence as well as including content fitting for the purpose and audience when preparing written briefs and reports.

Digital Records Management

Proven ability for the efficient and systematic control of the creation, receipt, maintenance, use and disposition of records, including the processes for capturing and maintaining evidence of and information about business activities and transactions in the form of records.

Presentation skills (Verbal communication)

Ability to structure, engage and present information clearly and interestingly to various audiences.
