Skilled Bee Keeper Coffs Harbour NSW Ausbee Honey P/L Seasonal work 6 to 10 months per year.A Coffs Harbour Beekeeping enterprise is now offering a full-time seasonal position for someone with relevant qualifications in beekeeping and/or relevant work experience in beekeeping and honey production. The following job description requires current skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas relating to beekeeping:Key responsibilities: Work with honey bees (stinging insect, Apis mellifera species) Employ appropriate personal protective equipment for work with honey bees Employ appropriate bee hive handling procedures to minimise stimulation of aggressive behaviour in honey bees Undertake seasonal bee hive management Harvest and extract a honey crop Transport bee hives to pollination contracts, honey production apiary sites, etc. Manage honey bee swarms Comply with industry quality assurance requirements Manage pests and diseases within a honey bee colony along with general farm, shed and machinery maintenance.MR Truck license is essential. Applicants without desired skills need not apply.Must be able to work in a team environment.
