We have an opportunity for an experienced Fitter to join our manufacturing team on a permanent basis.The PositionThe position is part of the maintenance team and would suit an experienced skilled tradesperson who is able to work safely with limited supervision. A trades person who has experience in machining will be an advantage. The maintenance team are responsible for scheduled servicing and maintenance across a large variety of machinery. The position responsibilities include: Demonstrate a safety first attitude Competent use of manual lathe and mill. Assist in managing the maintenance and servicing schedule of equipment Assist in maintaining service records Maintain power press and related tooling General machining, fitting and welding projects General day to day engineering requests Provide mentoring as part of the apprenticeship program About YouIn this role you will ideally be a qualified tradesperson and have a demonstrated track record with at least 3 years'' experience in your trade, preferably completing some time in a small to medium sized manufacturing Company. You will ideally also have: Experience as a Machinist/Fitter in a manufacturing company, preferable but not essential Effective time management and attention to detail; and Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills.
