This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for leading a small team and ensuring that daily tasks assigned by the Civil Works Coordinator are managed effectively, efficiently and in accordance with Council guidelines, engineering techniques and legislation. Your civil works experience, ability to lead, motivate and support a small team will ensure your success in this role. Essential Criteria Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a civil operations environment Successful completion of Certificate IV in Local Government Operational Works or equivalent experience through work history or as awarded through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Demonstrated experience in monitoring and supervising contractor works Demonstrated experience in performance management MR Licence Proven ability to plan coordinate works, follow directions and carry out works to set standards and to meet project targets Demonstrated experience in civil operations maintenance including asphalting, concreting, timber repairs to all civil infrastructure and harbour facilities within the local government area. Workcover OHS General Induction for Construction Work in NSW Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral including the completion of daily works reports Capable of working within the physical requirements in Section D of the Position Description Demonstrated ability to build a team based work culture Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Councils values Desirable Criteria HR Licence RMS Traffic Controller Licence RMS Implement Traffic Control Plans RMS Prepare a Work Zone Traffic Management Plan Knowledge for prevention of erosion and sediment control for construction sites How to apply Apply on line by clicking the link below.
