We are on the lookout for experienced and energetic casual sales assistants to join the team at our exciting home and kitchenwarein the popular "Puckle Street" shopping precinct of Moonee Ponds.Stocking all the leading brands in homewares, kitchen, cookware and gift lines, we are a destination shop offering the widest range of renownedhigh quality and competitively priced products, whilst providing the extremely high level of customer care and personalised service that comes from a family-ownedbusiness.Key Responsibilities include: Knowledgeable, friendly and personalised customer service Processing of sales Working in the stockroom unpacking and processing deliveries of stock (There will be a lot of time spent unpackingboxes, keeping the storeroom organised and the shop replenished with stock) Upkeep of store presentation An understandingof the brands and products and how they work Opening and closingthe store as required Experience and skills required Retail experience and background in homewares/kitchenwareabsolutelyessential Customer service focussed Apositive and engaging personality with the ability to build strong consumer relationships with regular shoppers A sharp eye for store presentation The ability to work in a team and autonomously The ability to receive and unpack large scale deliveries of stock in a timely and efficient manner. Be able to carry heavy boxes of stock upstairs to our store rooms manually. Apassion for the product Ability to process computer sales/transactions andenter/receive deliveries of stock as required Gift wrapping to a high standard Applicants need to be flexible to work an alternating weekly roster, and must be available to work weekends, including some Sundays.
