About us TYD Automotive is a busy automotive specialist located in Portarlington. We perform a variety of mechanical tasks including repairs, maintenance and installation. We are a locally focused business and we also support local events, businesses and communities both in and out of the workshop. When servicing customer vehicles we focus on any reported issues then provide customers with feedback and insight, so they can make an informed decision about any additional services we may recommend. The Role: We are seeking a senior mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis for immediate start. The role will include communicating with customers, performing repairs, maintenance and installation, and working with the team to ensure customer satisfaction. Tasks will include: - Informing customers of services performed - Repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles - Recording of vehicle status including any warning signs for future services - Working alongside other mechanics and apprentices - Road-worthy checks and reporting - Diesel and trailer repairs - Installation of tyres, batteries and parts as required - Off-site repairs when required Qualifications and skills: - Relevant certificate or qualification - Previous experience in servicing and repairing consumer motor vehicles - Previous experience in a customer facing role advantageous - Ability to work alone or within a team- Excellent communication skills Pay negotiable based on experience, overtime options available.
