QUALITY ENGINEER


We are an industry-leading manufacturing company with an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Engineer.

Salary is up to $79,000  based on experience.



 

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Monday to Friday, 1st Shift, with weekends off

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

 
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
  • Assists in development and maintenance of TS-16949 compliant quality system.
  • Discusses, investigates, and resolves quality issues raised by customers.
  • Assists Quality Specialist in maintenance of calibration system.
  • Assists company Purchasing Agent(s) to develop, implement, and maintain suppliers. Monitor supplier quality status.
 
 
EDUCATION
 
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 
 
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
 
 
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
