PRODUCT ASSOCIATE Leading distribution company with plants throughout the U.S. and worldwide. We have immediate openings for Product Associate to join our team. Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8am - 5pm with 2 Saturday's per month ( 9am-1pm) WHAT YOU'LL DO The Product Associate will partner cross-functionally with various departments to develop promotional and marketing tools to maximize sales. This role is responsible for the planning & forecasting of the product, and analyzes the product life cycle. Evaluate investment needed to support a launch of a new item and determine whether the ROIC is appropriate. Partner with Merchant/Buyer in implementation of new products into current operations. Facilitate production ramp up. Partner with Merchant/Buyer in ensuring proper quality assurance process. Develop and maintain product cost models. Perform capacity analysis to determine impact of new items on current production processes. Partner with international suppliers on product development, purchase order placement, and inventory flow. Analyze and manage proper inventory flow, including demand planning & forecasting, expedites, defers, diverts, purchase order placement, pricing analysis and assessment, and receipt of goods. Visits customers and promotes materials. Analyze prices, specifications, and delivery dates and awards contract to bidders or places orders with suppliers. Optimizes inventory levels by warehouses, by products, in partnerships cross-functionally across the company. Analyze and provide assessments & recommendations on product life cycle?new product introduction, existing product promotion, rationalization, discontinuation and close-out. Partner cross-functionally across National Marketing, Products, and Sales to develop promotional and marketing tools to maximize sales. Performs additional duties as required and or requested. SKILLS YOU'LL NEED Bachelor?s degree and/or college coursework required. 2-4 years of experience in product management, supply chain, business strategy, finance, or other quantitative field Strong analytical and quantitative ability.
