Job Description

 

We are looking for multiple reliability engineering technicians.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your broad skills as a reliability engineering tests technician, and apply them to development for Magic Leap products. Responsibilities include implementing, troubleshooting, and executing system and module level reliability tests, as well as collecting, processing and reviewing test data with Engineering Teams. Strong attention-to-details and execution skills are essential to succeed in this role.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Executing detailed test procedures, preparing and documenting test results, as well as review of results and collaborating with Reliability Engineers.
  • Use various types of measurement equipment to test systems and modules.
  • Configuration and running of complex test setups using high accuracy test equipment.
  • Partnering closely with reliability engineers to support development work.
  • Handling and providing sample materials with cross-functional team members.
  • Prepare work instructions for use by laboratory technicians in conducting tests.
  • Be capable of troubleshooting equipment and sample issues, maintain and troubleshooting test equipment as needed.
  • Maintain time and testing records.
  • Assist in diagnosing issues for test instrumentation to provide accurate test data for engineers.
  • Complete tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Recommend measures to improve testing procedures and use of equipment.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Typically requires at least 4+ years of reliability testing experience. Candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply, and will take on additional responsibilities.
  • Direct experience in performing reliability testing in high tech, fast-paced product development environment. Consumer electronics testing experience is required.
  • Experience in procurement, installment, calibration, and maintenance of reliability lab equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to write reports, and test procedures.
  • Dynamic and ?can do? attitude individual with the desire to work with a great team and product. Ability to manage & complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess a high level of attention to detail with handling of samples and test data.
  • High degree of comfort in a lab setting, bringing a proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and drive results.
  • Experience with data analysis and s/w tools (Labview) is preferred.

 

 

Education

  • AS Degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.
