Job description Your role in the teamThe role will play a pivotal role in the delivery of accurate and timely cost accounting and reconciliations processes within the R2R Tower. You will be responsible for ensuring the team are trained and deliver their tasks accurately and ensuring the integrity of financial transactions by reviewing the teams outputs and identifying solutions and actions to manage exceptions and highlighting these actions to the Tower lead.Be the one to make it happen!If you''re a team player who''s passionate about cost accounting and reconciliation then you''re exactly the one, we need. We''ve prepared exciting compensation package for you!Role responsibilities: Oversee and review accounting processes related to the accounting of costs including Property, marketing and employment costs and reconciling associated balance sheet positions. Responsible for taking corrective actions to deal with balance sheet discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner, escalating any aging items >30 days, highlighting actions taken to senior management Ensure costs are recorded accurately in Local currencies and in line with Group Accounting Policy, working with COE Controlling to seek advice on areas of judgementEnsure allocation postings are made in accordance with statutory accounting requirements for legal entitiesEnsure all Accruals and prepayments are tested and balance sheet accounts fully reconciled and ageing understood with action plans to deal with exceptionsWork closely with COE Controlling to record provisions in the accountsDrive a fast close / continuous close process in accounting for costs, working to drive continuous improvement in operational processes, particularly POs to ensure right first time recording of transactionsCollaborate with R2R Tower lead to set daily, weekly, monthly and annual performance targets and KPIs for the teamSubmit reviewed balance sheet reconciliation reports and summaries to senior managementWork with COE Controlling to review and set SLA and OLAs, taking corrective action where not being metAd Hoc Responsibilities: Ensure appropriate continuous professional development, keeping abreast of all internal, legislative, and industry best practice; Ensure appropriate interpretation and implementation of required changes in a timely manner; Support all internal and external audit activities through the provision of required documentation when necessaryRequired Skills and Experience:Education and Occupational Experience:Secondary education qualifications or equivalentCPA or global equivalent (ACCA)3 years of experience in an R2R accounting/GL role, within a Shared Service Centre or Global Finance department Lean Six Sigma Yellow belt desirableExperience of complex global businesses desirableStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data validation and record keeping.Proficiency in using accounting software and reconciliation tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet established reconciliation deadlines.Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple reconciliation-related tasks concurrently.
