Job Description This is a remote position. Virtual Rockstar is looking for a skilled Insurance Verification Specialist to join our client''s Physical Therapy team as a Virtual Assistant. As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient care by confirming patient appointments, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures, and assisting patients with insurance-related inquiries. This is a remote position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively navigate insurance processes. Responsibilities: Confirm patient appointments and handle appointment rescheduling as needed. Verify patient insurance coverage prior to appointments or procedures. Obtain pre-authorizations for procedures from insurance providers. Update patient files with accurate insurance information. Explain insurance benefits to patients and address any questions or concerns they may have. Liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage details and resolve any discrepancies. Track the status of pending insurance claims and follow up as necessary. Assist patients with insurance-related queries and provide guidance on navigating insurance processes. Requirements Proven experience in insurance verification or a similar role. Familiarity with insurance terminology, policies, and procedures. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in using computer software and electronic medical records systems.
