Department PR & Publicity Employee Type Probationary Job Responsibilities Builds and maintains a positive public image for NUSTAR. The PR Specialist creates media, from press releases to social media messages, that shape public opinion of NUSTAR and increases awareness of its brand. Responds to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information. Establishes and maintains relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups. Writes and checks press releases and other media communication to promote NUSTAR. Plans or directs the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stockholder views of the NUSTAR''s agenda and accomplishments. Coaches client representatives in effective communication with the public and employees. Studies the organization''s objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services. Prepares and edits organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders'' reports, for internal and external audiences. Updates and maintains NUSTAR''s web content. Confers with team to identify trends and group interests and provides advice on business decisions. Performs other related tasks. Qualifications Graduate of Bachelor''s Degree in Public Relation, Marketing, Communication, Journalism or any related course. A minimum of 5-7 years related work experience. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Has ability to understand PR and marketing concepts and practices. Has experience handling a press conference and ability to pitch to media. Has ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives. Has strong project and budget management skills. Must be a quick and enthusiastic learner. Has the ability to think both creatively and strategically. Must be well-organized, able to work with deadlines and flexible. Has strong analytical skill. Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
