Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, the incumbent contributes to communications, public affairs and community relations strategies and projects of the vice-presidency. More specifically, they are responsible for coordinating, planning and organizing communications events directly relating to the internal communications plan or those of a more general nature in line with the organization’s strategic plan, coordinating the tracking of media relations and the press review service, publishing newsletters and press releases, following up on technical information related to stakeholder relations and community investments, as well as coordinating, producing and revising documents and promotional materials. The incumbent will:

Collaborate with the relevant teams to plan, coordinate and implement communications events relating to the communications plan and strategic plan

  • Coordinate a calendar of VP activities and attendance in collaboration with Executive Assistants.
  • Develop event concepts.
  • Ensure delivery of internal events such as the townhall, employee tour and breakfasts (planning, organization, logistics, etc.).
  • Organize and deliver various events (press conferences, Port visits, annual meeting, etc.).  
  • Prepare and monitor timelines and comply with budgets.
  • Coordinate service providers.
  • Coordinate liaison between internal and external parties when organizing events.
  • Provide team support when hosting visitors, (coordinate visit logistics).
  • Help organize large public and promotional events (e.g., Port in the City Day, public consultations, etc.).

Coordinate corporate communications projects

  • Coordinate the press review.
  • Coordinate follow-up on media requests.
  • Coordinate advertising purchases for certain projects.
  • Research information to support projects and media requests.
