Under the supervision of the Deputy Harbour Master, Marine Division, the incumbent will be responsible for applying the procedures, and managing and coordinating different interventions, the goal of which may be saving human lives, protection of port facilities or guaranteeing the Port’s civil liability. Act as the Port Authority’s representative and liaison officer among the different stakeholders of the port and marine environment and with the public. Ensure tracking and control of the movement of vessels and obtain the necessary information to manage user service requests and favour the efficiency and safety of marine operations. Work Schedule Rest and meal periods on the site. Day, evening and night shift spread over seven days a week, twelve hours a day. Monthly rotation. Qualifications College Diploma in navigation or in transportation and logistics and at least one (1) year of relevant experience in dispatching.  Any combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent to the required qualifications of the position will be accepted. Sound knowledge of the port system and its operators and users. Qualified to operate different equipment. Ability to pay attention, be astute, work under stress, be tactful and courteous; to express himself clearly and readily, to work quickly and accurately, to learn new work methods fast; Appropriately keen hearing and eyesight. Spoken and written fluency in both English and French.
