Job Description Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for completion of a phase of a project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers. Job Duties Build and deliver world-class dashboard and analytics solutions using Microsoft?s Power BI and must be an expert in related data services including SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Build, maintain, and improve datasets, create data models, dashboards, needed for day-to-day operations Must have expertise in using M Language and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) Write calculations using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) You will be part of analytics, Power BI team, developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop Participate in and drive continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality, including developing processes for automation of updates to dashboards and tracking problems, changes, and solutions. Be an effective team member utilizing advanced data analysis, to drive process improvements or support leadership in strategic planning and decisions. Develop, track, and manage the forecast process, performance analysis, metrics/KPIs to drive forecast accuracy User Support: Designs and modifies complex reports in support of highly complex process improvements. Monitors the status of all report requests daily, prioritizing as needed. Observes customer usage, upgrades enterprise wide OLAP query and reporting tools, monitors batch queries and ensures interoperability and security of various front-end components. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot highly complex report related issues. Coordinate with appropriate staff as needed. Business Relationship: Manage the business relationship with the customer/stakeholder to evaluate, plan, and develop/re-engineer current or new reports.
