Director of Nursing (TRAVEL DON)

As the Travel DON, you will be responsible for managing the clinical operations and also the clinical professionals within your designated regions and assigned Skilled Nursing Facilities (all SNFs are located in the state of Florida).  To be most successful in the role Travel DON, you will be a team player with great conflict resolution skills, who is able to display unlimited patience and a positive demeanor with every single interaction.   Positions Available: 2 - This could be a good opportunity for you to recommend maybe ONE referral, perhaps your favorite RN from a previous role that you would want to potentially work with in brand new roles together. TEAMWORK ENVIRONMENT   Travel DON Summary & Qualifications: Interprets and communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation. Participates in all admission decisions. Participates in daily or weekly management team meetings to discuss census changes, resident changes in status, complaints or concerns. Evaluates work performance of all nursing personnel and implements discipline according to operational policies. Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care and nursing supervision as evidenced by adequate staff coverage on all units Collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team, physicians, consultants, and community agencies to identify and resolve issues  Oversees nursing schedules to ensure resident needs, regulatory and budget standards are met. Participates in the recruitment, hiring and termination of nursing personnel. Traveling will be required within the state of Florida to assigned regions. (all travel is complimentary and paid) Active RN License Required Minimum 3-5 years? experience as Travel DON, Regional DON, DON, ADON or RN Supervisor in a hospital, SNF, LTAC, or other LTC facility.
