Alden Estates of Jefferson is currently hiring a Director of Nursing!

The DON is supported by 2 ADON's, 2 MDS Coordinators, and a scheduler !   Additionally, you have a hands-on Nurse Consultant to bounce ideas off of and to help with your orientation, training and meeting key performance metrics.  Our team of department heads has longevity and knowledge of all of the residents to assist with the development of interdisciplinary plans of care.  We want you to have a work life balance while you are the Director of Nursing.  

Our beautiful and spacious facility has ALL private rooms and bathrooms which are wonderful for our residents and provide an added layer of infection control security. A dedicated driver helps to get residents to their appointments in our Alden transport van.  Our 120 bed facility is usually close to capacity because of the beautifully appointed amenities and the 6 individual neighborhoods of 20 residents each which give it such a homey feeling.  We can't wait to show you how Alden Estates of Jefferson is the premiere employer in the area!

Our Director of Nursing is responsible to plan, organize, develop, direct and delegate (as appropriate) the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and facility policies. The objective is to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Minimum of one (1) year nursing administration experience.
  • Must possess current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
