We are a Short / Long Term care facility looking for the right Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team! The DON will promote and create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies so that all nursing team members will be able to do their best in caring for patients/residents. Director of Nursing Responsibilities: Supervising all nursing staff. Planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department. Overseeing department budgets. Communicating with doctors, residents, and family members about resident health. Implementing new procedures and training nurses on policies.   Director of Nursing Qualifications: Individual must have 2 years? experience as a DON or an ADON in long term care. REGISTERED NURSE (RN) in the State of Illinois and in good standing. Familiarity with medical software and equipment (Matrix). Ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
