Position Responsibilities: · Embody the company standard as a high-quality care provider. · Demonstrate strong leadership. · Provide support, recognition, information and advocacy for patients, families and staff. · Lead the clinical team to ensure that patients achieve their highest level of function and highest quality of life. · Work in conjunction with the Administrator to direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State and facility standards, guidelines and regulations. · In absence of the Administrator, assume the responsibility for center operations. · Conduct the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation - under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure. · Adhere to the budget guidelines for the department. Performs other duties as assigned. (DON) Director of Nursing Educational Requirements: Currently licensed as RN in this state; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. (DON) Director of Nursing Qualifications/Skills: Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred * At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required * Strong interpersonal skills * Excellent verbal, organizational and communication skills * Strong computer skills * Demonstrated critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
