Die Setter

Die Setters are primarily responsible for maintaining production tooling, as well as the pulling and setting up of jobs in production presses. <ul> <li>Responsible for monitoring tool usage and working with the tool crib/toolroom to ensure that adequate tools are on hand and properly prepared in advance of being needed to avoid unplanned and unnecessary downtime. (i.e. grippers, clamps, bolts, washers, nuts, whiskers, sprayers).</li> <li>Have demonstrable proficiency with some toolroom equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders etc.) and are expected to be able to read and understand blueprints, and use all quality measurement tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical comparators etc.) with proficiency.</li> <li>Complete set-up responsibility (i.e. new die set-up information).</li> <li>Pre-staging of all set-up (tools, dies, chutes, clamping required, transfer fingers, grippers, Julian dates).</li> <li>Load coils onto mandrel and feed through straightener and into die.</li> <li>Unload coil truck and log coils into the system/ manage coil inventory.</li> <li>Assist team members when coils need re-banding and taken off press.</li> <li>Establish and maintain communication with other team members and support departments.</li> <li>Initiate and sustain 5S opportunities.</li> <li>Assume press team leader and/or press operator duties when required.</li> <li>Supply tool room with necessary dies.</li> <li>Continually organize die and coil storage area.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.<br /> &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma or GED or Related Tool and Die Setter experience in a stamping facility.</li> <li>Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.</li> <li>Able to compute averages and to interpret line or bar graphs.</li> <li>Able to lift up to 50 lbs.</li> <li>Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards</li> </ul> <p><br /> ACEMCO PROVIDES A COMPLETITIVE SALARY AND GREAT BENEFITS PACKAGE, INCLUDING MEDICAL INSURANCE AND A 401(K).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Type: </strong>Full-time, Direct Hire</p> <p><br /> <strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>401(k)</li> <li>401(k) matching</li> <li>Dental insurance</li> <li>Disability insurance</li> <li>Employee assistance program</li> <li>Health insurance</li> <li>Life insurance</li> <li>Paid time off</li> <li>Vision insurance</li> <li>Schedule:</li> <li>10hr shift</li> <li>Monday to Thursday</li> <li>Overtime</li> </ul> <p><br /> <strong>ACEMCO IS AN EQUAL OPPORUTNITY EMPLOYER</strong></p>
