<p><strong>Client is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician (Plant Tech/Engineer) for a commercial laundry operation in Wheeling, WV. This opportunity is with an family-owned regional company who has been growing successfully for 85 years.</strong><br /> <br /> <br /> The Head Engineer has overall responsibility for the daily repair and preventative maintenance of industrial textile processing equipment and facility maintenance. The Head Engineer supervises the work of others and assists them to ensure that tasks such as start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, or other systems are completed according to policies and procedures.<br /> <br /> ?<br /> <br /> Candidate must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management, manage and support engineering teams and believe in well-defined preventative maintenance programs.<br /> <br /> <br /> <strong>Primary Duties:</strong><br /> <br /> -Maintains all operating equipment in satisfactory condition.<br /> <br /> -Supervises the plant engineering staff and consults with production team to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.<br /> <br /> -Manages spare parts inventories in a cost effective manner.<br /> <br /> -Executes an effective preventative maintenance program to minimize unscheduled equipment downtime.<br /> <br /> -Installs, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on industrial processing equipment, water levels, water systems and other equipment and systems.<br /> <br /> -Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments.<br /> <br /> -Ensures work is performed safely and efficiently.<br /> <br /> -Develops, trains, maintains and administers a department of qualified personnel required to maintain all equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient working condition.<br /> <br /> -Strictly adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures required by Company, law, and what is recognized as common practice in the industry.<br /> <br /> Requirements</p> <ul> <li><strong>Ideal candidates will have a minimum of at least 3-5 years maintenance experience</strong>.</li> <li>Minimum job requirements include knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures, boilers, air compressors, PLC&#39;s, welding, piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuitry and electrical trouble shooting as well as general equipment and building maintenance (also see technical knowledge requirements listed below)</li> <li>Must have the ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Hours may vary based on production requirements and customer needs. Flexibility in schedule required.</li> <li>Must be comfortable communicating with all levels of management</li> <li>Must be a self-starter who is good at identifying &amp; leveraging opportunities as they arise</li> <li>Must have a positive attitude and be team oriented</li> <li>Strong organizational skills</li> <li>Valid driver&#39;s license</li> <li>An EEO/DV/WM Co.
