<strong>Job Summary</strong> <p><br /> We are looking for a competent Nursing Clinical Director to organize and oversee people and clinical outcomes of nursing departments. You will be responsible for supervising and directing everything from employees and budgets to technology and operations of nursing services in inpatient care areas. As a clinical director, you must possess excellent management and mentoring skills. You must be an outstanding communicator able to resolve conflicts and issues. Also, have a deep respect for policies and ethics and can inspire that in others. The goal is to ensure the smooth running of the nursing department aiming to maximize performance and improve clinical outcomes. You will be reporting directly to the CNO.</p> <br /> <strong>Job Responsibilities</strong> <ul> <li>Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and other clinical personnel in the development and implementation of patient care plans.</li> <li>Speak with outside providers to arrange for the emergency care and (if necessary) admission of patients being brought in by emergency medical service teams or being transferred from other facilities.</li> <li>Work side-by-side with other members of our clinical teams in delivering direct care to patients under the direction of our physicians.</li> <li>Provide end-to-end care to patients, including initial assessments and triage, coordinating laboratory, pathology, and imaging services, following patients admitted to the facility to their respective care units and then overseeing care up to the point of discharge.</li> <li>Coordinate the daily care of patients admitted to our facility, ensuring that medications are ordered and administered when needed, therapy schedules are followed, and that patient&#39;s dietary needs are met.</li> <li>Prepare patients scheduled for surgery in accordance with the orders handed down from our surgical team, and then maintain a sterile environment in their rooms in preparation for them to return for recovery.</li> <li>Enter all information from notes and documentation made throughout the day into a patient&#39;s electronic medical record.</li> <li>Devise strategies and plans for the nursing department according to organizational standards and assume responsibility for budgeting and resourcing.</li> <li>Supervising and directing employees, budgets, technology, and operations of nursing services</li> <li>Plan and oversee all patient care or administrative operations and programs</li> <li>Recruit employees to ensure nursing department is staffed with qualified personnel</li> <li>Assign cases and create schedules for all employees in the nursing department</li> <li>Coordinate and supervise staff providing constructive feedback</li> <li>Provide personnel with clinical training and opportunities for continuous development and growth</li> <li>Evaluate performance and discipline employees when necessary</li> <li>Monitor compliance with legal guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards</li> </ul> <strong>Job Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Required</strong><br /> &nbsp; <ul> <li>Bachelor&#39;s or Associate&#39;s degree in nursing</li> <li>Current RN licensed to the current standards of the state of California</li> <li>CPR certification</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of infection control and cross-contamination prevention guidelines</li> <li>Acute care nursing management experience overseeing ICU and Telemetry floors</li> <li>3-5 years of director-level or other managerial and nursing administrative position responsible for the oversight of nursing units</li> <li>Experience in clinical supervision</li> <li>Experience budgeting, resourcing, and performance evaluation procedures</li> <li>Joint Commission, CMS, and Title 22 standards and regulation knowledge for nursing care</li> <li>Proficient in Electronic Health Record and CPOE</li> <li>Excellent communication and people skills</li> <li>Exceptional organizational and leadership skills</li> <li>Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts</li> </ul> <strong>Preferred</strong> <ul> <li>Minimum 2&nbsp;years of work experience working with healthcare IT</li> <li>Previous float pool experience</li> </ul>
