Position Overview for Technical Sales Engineer Position: Technical Sales Engineer Reports to Sales Manager of Powerdraulics Working Days: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 5.00am - 2.00pm with 1-hour lunch (PHST - Manila Time Zone) Working Hours: 7.00am - 4.00pm with 1-hour lunch (AEST - Queensland Time Zone) - reference only Product & Brand Hydraulic pumps, motors, hydraulic cylinders, valves, sealing and components. Hydraulic being oil-based fluid power. Brands include Danfoss and Parker. Position Description Maintain Inbox - Shared and Personal Monitor personal and shared inbox. Action applicable emails in a timely manner, allocate responsibility and flag for completion. Keep manager updated on outstanding activities. KPI Measurement: Inbox category, flag and complete emails. Communicate with stakeholders. Action inbound calls. Inbound Calls Answer inbound calls and follow-up missed calls. Communicate with customers and action their requests in a timely manner. KPI Measurement: Answer inbound calls, communicate with stakeholders, action requests. Customer Quotes Prepare customer quotes and where applicable advise manager for review. Understand internal pricing policies for products and customers. For approved quotes communicate and quote the customer. Send via email Sales Order Acknowledgement to Customer once approved. Create customer shipment folder. Save digital copy in customer shared digital folder. KPI Measurement: Quote Entry, Order Entry, Call / email customer. Customer Orders Prepare customer orders. Review sales order pick list daily and update management/ warehouse where required. KPI Measurement: Sales Order, Sales Order Acknowledgement, Sales Order Pick List Customer Invoicing Create customer invoices where required. Review shipped not invoice report on a weekly basis. KPI Measurement: Invoice Entry, Orders Shipped Not Invoiced Report Technical Support Provide pre and post technical hydraulic sales support and advise to customers. KPI Measurement: Communicate to customers, Excel, interpret hydraulic unit and component specifications Order Fulfillment Review sales order pick list, coordinate with warehouse on fulfilment of customer orders, communicate with customers on orders in transit where required. KPI Measurement: sales order pick list, communication with customers and warehouses. Purchasing Create purchase orders for applicable suppliers. Regularly review purchase suggestions and maintain buyers workbench and supplier price lists. KPI Measurement: Purchase Order Suggestions, Time Phase, Part Tracker, Create Purchase Orders, Schedule, Email Suppliers, Communicate with stakeholders. Attributes / Competencies 1. 3+ years - hands on experience with hydraulic pumps, motors and components. 2. 3+ years - technical hydraulic sales experience. 3. Degree in mechanical engineering, fluid power or equivalent certification. 4. Excellent administration skills including electronic filing and document management. 5. High level attention to detail with very low error rate. 6. Excellent English verbal and written. Proficient users who can understand and express virtually everything with ease and differentiate finer shades of meaning.C2 English (Proficient). 7. Intermediate level in Microsoft Suite. 8. Intermediate level in windows-based ERP system/s eg: SAP, Epicor, MS Dynamics. Tools Required 1. PC running windows 10 Pro 64bit with 2 monitors 2. PC Headphones - noise cancelling 3. Desk (min 1.5m length) 4. High speed internet access 5. Desk Phone using SIPS / Mobile with app Applications 1. Remote desktop into our systems with 2FA (Cloud) 2.
