Job Summary: Our client is one of the leading brands of all-natural personal care, cosmetic and household products in the country today! They are looking to hire a Senior Formulator who is willing to create natural formulations and join their growing team of brilliant scientists. The successful candidate is responsible for the timely development of new products: from the conceptualization stage; to the search for appropriate ingredients; and then formulating and testing samples; as well as costings prior to product launches. They will be also managing their own team, while planning and performing their respective department activities. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Ensures that product development and related functions are compiled accurately and promptly Assists the R&D Operations Lead and Creative Director in guiding the R&D team to prioritize projects and deliverables Monitors progress of new product development, reformulation, and alternative testing. Updates accurate product formulations and costings on a shared drive. Researches about natural ingredients and market trends Requests pertinent documents of new ingredients from suppliers for screening and before approving for sampling and use. Establishes standard specification of new products Performs stability testing of products being developed and documents results Researches possible causes of irritation and answers product customer complaints Practices general cleanliness of office space and laboratory area by using 5S and GLP Prepares Batch Manufacturing Record and conducts appropriate inventory and validation processes/reports Attends NPD, SC coordination and QA/R&D operational meetings. Studies subjects as requested and prepares presentations for management approval. Investigates production and quality issues, plus the rework of bulk from production Checks the list of ingredients, percent natural, and product claims in the label Ensures that all responsibilities are done in a very professional manner notwithstanding pressures from work. This includes: Courteousness in communicating with internal staff, third party service providers and external suppliers/customers Taking the initiative in helping/serving our internal and external customers at reasonable circumstances. Being accountable for providing and helping build the Company by strengthening culture of shared ownership and bayanihan. Performing any and all other tasks and functions that may be assigned from time to time by his/her superior. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor''s/College Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent Knowledgeable with formulations and in developing different cosmetic products and applications. Has at least 2 years'' experience in a supervisory role. Can collaborate closely with Supply Chain, QA, Regulatory, and marketing teams, as well as suppliers and third-party testing labs. Familiar with good laboratory practices and operating equipments. Is a self-starter and possesses a dynamic personality Must be willing to work in their manufacturing plant in Carmelray Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna**
