They are expanding the Oracle team for this role.<br /> Typical production database administrative duties make up the<br /> majority of the roles and responsibilities. If you have 5+ years<br /> of current and latest (12c, 11g) Oracle DBA experience, then this<br /> role should be considered a great option for you to consider.<br /> <br /> Duties: Performance tuning and monitoring is the most important<br /> aspect of this large database farm Provide 24x7 support for<br /> Oracle environment Install, upgrade and patch Oracle databases.<br /> Create, maintain, monitor and control Oracle databases.<br /> Troubleshoot database performance issues, identify and tune<br /> poorly performing pl/SQL statements. Project database growth<br /> trends and assist in database and server capacity analysis.<br /> Communicate regularly with internal technical, application, and<br /> operational staff, as appropriate, in order to ensure database<br /> integrity, security and availability. Assist development staff<br /> with application design and efficient use of database technology.<br /> <br /> Requirements:<br /> <br /> -Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science related discipline or<br /> equivalent education and/or experience.<br /> <br /> -US Citizen or Green Card holder -Oracle 12c, 11g experience<br /> required (older versions are fine, but current is most important)<br /> <br /> -Minimum of 4/5 years of commercial database administration in<br /> Unix or Windows environment<br /> <br /> -Knowledge of programming and performance tuning using PL/SQL,<br /> triggers, procedures and JDBC -Oracle RAC<br /> <br /> -Knowledge of operating systems, machine organization, systems<br /> design and management.
