Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a GIS Consultant based in Ottawa. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge and training to assist in the implementation of GIS based solutions based on Esri technology. The GIS Consultant will contribute to the ongoing business operations of the Ottawa team by effectively providing technical knowledge and executing the delivery of assigned consulting projects. The successful candidate will also participate in user needs analysis, and the design, development, and implementation of client solutions. GIS Consultant responsibilities include: Provide technical expertise in the development and implementation of client solutions. Work with project teams to manage client expectations and ensure project deliverables are met. Monitor and control technical activities throughout the complete life cycle of the consulting assignment Assist with the building, testing, documentation, installation, and training of customized applications integrated with Esri products. Delivery of QuickStart services packages for core ArcGIS technology Work with clients and assist them during the implementation stage Contribute to needs analysis, functional requirements, developing project plans, and providing business solutions Assisting in the preparation of proposals (e.g. RFPs, RFIs and RFQs) Support Esri Canada technology adoption through sales events and customer interactions Proactively pursue self-instruction on all relevant technical topics. Specific skill requirements: University degree in geography, geology/geosciences or equivalent education and experience 3+ years of experience working with GIS applications. Knowledge and experience working with Esri products such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS mobile apps Programming skills in Python Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server) Must be able to attain a Government Security Screening Top Secret Clearance (Level III) Competencies in the following are essential: Strong relationship-building, time-management, presentation, and communication skills Customer-service oriented, good problem solver, team player Considered as assets for this position are the following: Bilingual (English and French) Experience working with the Federal Government and/or large IT organizations Experience in training and educating customers on customized applications Experience in client/server applications Programming skills in JavaScript and C#/.Net are assets Esri Technical Certifications: ArcGIS Desktop Professional Enterprise Administration Enterprise Geodatabase Management Associate Esri Canada fosters a dynamic and inclusive work culture, the opportunity to build your skills, and the flexibility to work remotely or at any of our offices across Canada. Fournir les services des forfaits QuickStart pour la technologie ArcGIS de base. Travailler avec les clients et les assister la phase de mise en uvre. Participer aux analyses des besoins, la dfinition des exigences fonctionnelles, llaboration des plans de projet et la prestation des solutions daffaires. Participer la prparation de documents de vente (comme des rponses aux demandes de propositions, de renseignements et de prix).
