Job Description The HSE Advisor role is integral to the FLINT team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day safety activities on-site. This role is is accountable for defining and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment policies, practices, and procedures for all company activities.This role is on a shutdown in Fox Creek, AB. The shutdown is expected to start on September 5th and run until September 23, 2023. There is camp and travel pay available for non-local workers.What would you be doing?Lead and support the safety activities and initiatives undertaken within FLINT.Promote and ensure safety compliance in all areas of responsibilityandactivelyresolve safety issues or concerns.Reviewing accident/ incident reports for correctness and completeness.Conduct periodic checks to assess compliance with Flints HSE standards.Evaluating inspection reports to identify unsatisfactory performance trends.Preparing monthly safety performance statistics and circulating them to linemanagement.Issuing and circulatingenvironmental/ safety literature to enhance and maintainawareness.SupportField Injury reports and forward copies to the HSE Program Coordinator/ WCB Administrator in a timely fashion.Monitor andsupportinvestigation reports,environmentalincident reports, medical or first aid cases and reports of damage to property or equipment to verify that corrective action has been completed.Actively participates in leadershipsite safety reviews and worksite observation.Ensure submissions and follow-ups are completed and documented within requestedtimeframes per company standards.Complete with quality, all key performance indicators (KPIs) listed on thecorporateKPI matrix and the area additions. Report and document asrequired.Audit competencytraining.Other duties as assigned.Does this sound like you?3-5yearsin a safety advisor position or experience in a similar role.Turnaround experience is an asset.Valid WHMIS 2015, H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space, and Fall Protection tickets are required.Must be able toadvise groups of up to 130 per shift.A clear communicator, able to deliver safety messages, prepare and facilitate safety meetings, and communicate lessons learned.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally in stressful situations withboth client and FLINT team members.Demonstrated ability to multi-task, probe, analyze andsolvecomplexissues.Ability to work in a constantly changingenvironmentand achieve quality standards.Must be familiar with industrial safetymanagementsystems.Fully skilledwithorganizingand setting own priorities; meets deadlines as well as others.High School minimum (or equivalent) with other college or University diploma or certificate preferred.Proficient in English, both written and verbalcommunicationrequired.Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.Perks of the jobCompetitive Pay.Mob and de-mob is available for non-local workers. 12-hour shifts with overtime as per provincial standard.Benefits after 300 hours of work.Other important detailsThis position has beenidentifiedas a safetysensitiveposition and will require completion ofa drugandalcoholtesting.
