We are hiring for a company in the transportation industry with an immediate opening for a Apprentice Mechanic / Shop Helper in Mississauga, ON Start Date: Immediately Shift: 2 Shifts Available (Trailer Divisions) Trailer Division Days: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday-Friday) Afternoons: 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM (Monday-Thursday) Location: Derry Rd E & Kennedy Rd S Rates $23 -$25 / hour (no license) Responsibilities Assess and conduct mechanical work on trailers Assist with regular preventative vehicle maintenance and safety inspections Help other mechanics in the shop when required Shop maintenance, inventory of parts, keeping area tidy Follow all safety and compliance procedures Requirements 310T/310J license preferred but not required Previous experience working in a mechanic shop is an asset Experience using shop tools Good mechanical, analytical, and problem solving skills Strong communication, works well in team environment Physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs.
