Job Summary The Project Manager manages and coordinates all aspects of project management functions related to the organization, development, and implementation of temporary in-house exhibitions, permanent gallery rotations, traveling exhibitions, and other related projects. This includes responsibility for drafting schedules, developing and tracking budgets, writing agendas, leading meetings, and facilitating communication between cross-functional teams at all levels. This position will also be called upon to assist with other institutional project management needs. The Project Manager is essential an d is relied upon to be an advocate for their successful completion. The role will require an individual with a great sense of independence, yet being able to lead a wide range of stakeholders through the project. Responsibilities: Support the Museum''s mission and vision, with a strong focus on enhancing visitor experience and community engagement. Contribute to and align with Ithra''s strategic plan, annual priorities, programs, and initiatives. Foster a positive organizational culture built on mutual respect, collegiality, cooperation, and openness to diverse perspectives. Manage all aspects of project management related to exhibitions, including temporary in-house exhibitions, permanent gallery rotations, traveling exhibitions, and other relevant projects. Demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills, effectively leading and motivating teams during exhibition installation and de-installation. Develop and oversee project budgets and work schedules in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, diligently monitoring project expenditures, reporting against targets, and continually revising schedules and timelines as necessary. Exhibit strong project management skills, capable of efficiently managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a flexible approach in high-pressure situations. Review, create, manage, and disseminate contracts with independent contractors involved in assigned projects. Plan, lead, and facilitate core and cross-functional team meetings, fostering productive relationships and mutual understanding among project team members and stakeholders. Showcase competencies in strategic thinking, self-development, and the ability to align organizational strategies and objectives. Ensure consistent and timely communication of essential information with key partners. Assist in the annual budgeting process to support financial planning and resource allocation. Continuously strive to enhance project management processes throughout the institution. Provide guidance to project coordinators, aiding in the development and management of production budgets, schedules, workflows, and processes for cross-functional teams. Possess previous experience in line-managing staff. Manage the selection of contractors for exhibitions, considering factors such as suitability and cost efficiency for each project. Effectively manage and provide guidance to the Exhibitions team members, including Coordinators and Gallery Technicians, following directives, offering support and guidance, and conducting annual reviews. Requirements: This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Demonstrated ability to deliver results, facilitate and influence others, and problem-solve beyond temporary solutions. 6+ years of relevant experience, with proven expertise in project management. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic languages. Experience and knowledge of the exhibition development and installation process. Experience collaborating with curators, designers, and programmers. Strong communication and writing skills, including the ability to draft business plans and create detailed reports to assess project feasibility. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A degree in History of Art, Design, or Museum Studies is desirable.
