Role Brief The Position: Calling brilliant product managers (Hardware). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join a world class team addressing some of the biggest problems in drug delivery, such as ending #1 cause of preventable death. We are seeking a product manager eager to grow their career alongside some serious veterans. You will work with a multi disciplinary team and work on core product and technology efforts. You will play a crucial role in product development, breaking down problems, inventing solutions, helping the team prioritize, edit, focus, juggle and execute to commercialize core technologies and complete products. As an ideal candidate, you have experience in positions where you demonstrated that you can break down complex challenges to fundamental truths, then address those truths to build the answer to the problem. You are agile, innovative and a strategic problem solver. You roll up your sleeves, learn quickly, build, test and iterate to get to solutions, and people love working with you, not because youre just a nice person, but because they respect how effective you are. You can articulate concepts clearly, you work well with others, and youre a leader that identifies efforts that create most value and pursue them without needing a prompt. You love bringing products to life, you understand and listen to the end users, and you immerse yourself in the problems youre trying to solve. Job Description Education Bachelors degree in Business Administration, or a relevant technical discipline Qualifications 5+ years of consumer-facing hardware product management experience Experience leading teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines for scaled hardware products; medical devices and/or IoT devices experiences an important asset Strong user empathy and experience shaping direct-to-consumer product direction based on user needs Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong ability to prioritize and manage backlogs and dependencies for cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade offs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners in manufacturing, software/firmware, design, and consumer research Deep understanding of hardware product development lifecycle and supply chain/manufacturing implications of development decisions, with proven experience in new product introductions and iterative hardware development Experienced in Agile development environments (familiar with backlog grooming, task definition, velocity estimates, Kanban, and Scrum) Language Fluent in oral and written English; French is an asset; Korean is an asset Responsibilities Lead the development of the consumer-focused product strategy, vision, and development plan supported by internal and external analysis Define creative, high quality, simple product roadmaps and backlogs based on team strategy and vision Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application Lead the design and execution of user insight collection prior to and during the product development process Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, technical feasibility and operational support load Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners Work closely with engineering and design teams, as well as other dependencies such as legal, finance, and compliance to deliver products to market Drive product launches including working with marketing team, executives, and other product management team members Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the teams ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
