Master Construction Planner Montreal Area, QC Introduction: We are seeking an experienced Masterplan Specialist with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the field. As a Masterplan Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the high-level design and layout of various sites. Your expertise in master planning will be crucial in ensuring efficient and effective use of space, infrastructure, and resources. This role requires a deep understanding of site planning principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Lead the master planning process for assigned projects, considering factors such as site constraints, project requirements, regulations, and sustainability principles. Develop conceptual site plans, taking into account land use, infrastructure, circulation, and other relevant elements. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between master plans and detailed design development. Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate site options to determine the most optimal layout and design solutions. Apply industry best practices and stay updated on the latest trends in master planning and site development. Perform detailed analysis and simulations to assess the impact of proposed designs on various factors, such as traffic flow, utilities, and environmental considerations. Provide guidance and support to project teams during the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to the approved master plan. Review and evaluate proposed changes or modifications to the master plan and provide recommendations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address any challenges or issues related to site planning and design. Maintain documentation and records related to master planning activities. Requirements Bachelor''s degree in Architecture, Construction Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in master planning, with a focus on high-level design and layout of sites. Minimum 5 years of experience in a management and/or technical functions in the field of master planning Previous experience in master planning for large capex industry, incl. chemicals, mining, etc. Strong knowledge of site planning principles, including land use, circulation, infrastructure, and sustainability. Proficient in using relevant software tools and technologies for site planning and design. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects from concept to completion.
