If you are flexible, dedicated, enjoy working in high-energy environments, and want to enhance your already top-notch skills, then consider working for us.<br /> <br /> Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.</li> <li>Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.</li> <li>Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.</li> <li>Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.</li> <li>Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.</li> <li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.</li> <li>Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.</li> </ul> <p>Job Skills &amp; Qualifications<br /> <br /> Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Active and unrestricted state or Federal license</li> <li>Board Certified/Eligible with ABPN</li> <li>Active and unrestricted DEA</li> <li>Active BLS Certification</li> <li>Current vaccinations and immunizations</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years&rsquo; experience</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>More Details</p> <p>Locums, Inc. and our Veterans need you! We are seeking full-time Psychiatrists for the VA Hospital in Battle Creek, MI.&nbsp; Duties include Physical Assessment, Psychiatric Evaluations and Mental Status Exams, Psychotherapy, Pharmacotherapy, Consultation, Clinical Supervision, General Medical Condition Care, Group Psychotherapy, Behavior Therapy, Family Therapy, Treatment Team meetings, Discharge Planning, Testing and Prescribing of Medications.&nbsp; All state and Federal licenses accepted at all government facilities.</p> <p>About the Opportunity:</p> <p>- Period of Performance is about 7/1/20 to 6/30/24</p> <p>- 40 Hour work-week, 8am-4:30pm; some evenings and weekends if needed</p> <p>- Rotating on-call schedule</p> <p>- Malpractice provided</p> <p>- 13-15 outpatient and 20-25 inpatient visits per day; OP and IP duties split among staff members</p> <p>- Located solely at the Battle Creek, MI VA Hospital</p> <p>- Per Diem provided for travel, housing, and expenses</p>
