<p>Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth seeks to hire a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) PRN to work as needed in their Microbiology laboratory.</p> <p>The address is 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104.</p> <p>Salary range for a MLS is Minimum $26.69/hr. to Maximum $39.40/hr. &ndash; based on relevant experience</p> <p>Salary range for a MLT is Minimum $20.16/hr. to Maximum $31.15/hr. &ndash; based on relevant experience</p> <p><br /> <strong>Work Schedule:</strong></p> <ul> <li>PRN &ndash; As needed</li> <li>Variable days/shifts; primary hours needed are 2:30 PM &ndash; 11:00 PM or 10:30 PM &ndash; 7:00 AM</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Specimen Integrity</li> <li>Laboratory Operations</li> <li>Professional Accountability</li> <li>Test Procedures</li> <li>Quality Control/Documentation</li> <li>Safety</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Associate&#39;s degree or education equivalent to an Associate&#39;s degree in a laboratory science or medical technology for a MLT (Must include at least 60 hours or equivalent from an accredited institution that include at a minimum either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses that include at least 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination</li> <li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree for an MLS (or attained within 3 months of hire date)</li> <li>Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred.</li> <li>Internship in an approved Medical Technician training program required</li> <li>2 years of experience in a Medical Laboratory preferred</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required License/Certification:</strong></p> <ul> <li>MLT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP) required within 90 days from hire Or</li> <li>Equivalent (AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology) upon hire required</li> <li>Preferred: MLT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong positive interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to read, write and speak English clearly</li> <li>Problem solving ability, time management skills</li> <li>Possess organizational skills to function successfully in a fast-paced work environment</li> <li>Computer literate</li> <li>Preferred: Experience with Cerner Millennium LIS</li> </ul> <p><br /> <br /> <br /> Apply Here:&nbsp;http://www.Click2Apply.net/wgk8wq6yz7mq2tqw</p>
