<p><strong>Registered Nurse RN, Chronic Dialysis</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Sioux Falls, SD 57117</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Length of Assignment:</strong> 8 Weeks<br /> <br /> <strong>Shift: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Variable shifts.</li> <li>Hours are 5:30 -1800 or 0600 to 1830 with the possibility of four 10 hour shifts&nbsp;of 5:30-1600 or 6:00-1630. &nbsp;Every other weekend (Fri/Sat) and if desired every weekend (Fri/Sat). Outpatient only.</li> <li>36 guaranteed/40 scheduled.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Floating to over units/departments:</strong>&nbsp;Possibly to Acute dialysis&nbsp;<br /> <br /> <strong>Required Experience:</strong><br /> 3+ years dialysis experience<br /> 1 year travel experience (Strongly preferred).<br /> <br /> <strong>Licenses/Certifications:</strong> <ul> <li>BLS.</li> <li>Dialysis certification preferred.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <strong>General Responisbilities:</strong> <ul> <li>About 3 days of orientation to include computer classes and independent computer based training and orientation to the unit.&nbsp;</li> <li>Initiation and discontinuation of dialysis via fistula, graft or central line. Assessment of patient , CL dressing changes, medication administration, and monitoring of the patients treatments.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <strong>Equipment utilized in the unit/dept:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong> <ul> <li>B Braun dialysis machines mostly. Could be some Fresenius machines if go to Acutes. EPIC for charting. Accudose &nbsp;for meds.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept:&nbsp;</strong>19 stations<br /> <br /> <strong>Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only):</strong> <ul> <li>4-7 patients at a time. Approximately 15 pts/day. Work closely with at Tech also.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> &nbsp;
