<p>Administers Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs, and HOME funded loan/grant programs.<br /> <strong>Responsibilities</strong>:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for financial management of loan/grant programs&rsquo; application and approval process, including the preparation of legal contracts and reviewing mortgage loan subordination requests.</li> <li>Oversees the grant claims process per agency funding agreements.</li> <li>Assists in the preparation and submission of various reports and other grant applications.</li> <li>Counsels interested individuals and property owners regarding various loan/grant programs, and/or refers them to other community organizations for further assistance when appropriate.</li> <li>Processes applications and determines participant eligibility for projects; prepares and maintains required documentation and files.</li> <li>Determines creditworthiness for loans and provides credit repair counseling and guidance, as needed.</li> <li>Develops and leads educational programs for consumers and community banking interests to establish a market for reverse equity mortgage products, and provides federally required Reverse Equity Mortgage counseling to prospective senior mortgagors.</li> <li>Organizes and leads workshops or focus groups.</li> <li>Participates in housing project development.</li> <li>Participates in staff level review and awarding of rehabilitation loans.</li> <li>Attends Citizens Advisory Committee meetings and public hearings for CDBG funds.</li> <li>Advises on federal CDBG regulations and HAND policies for distribution of grant funds. Liaison to the Jack Hopkins Council Social Service grant program. Maintains webpages and marketing materials.</li> </ul>
