<p>As a <strong>senior engineer</strong>, you will work alongside company leaders to provide leading-edge solutions to our clients &ndash; across the U.S. &ndash; while assisting the coastal, environmental, and water resources teams led by our professional engineers. The principal function of this position is to provide a leadership role for a team developing structural waterfront designs, successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and oversee construction administration.</p> <p>This position requires 8+ years of <strong>marine structural engineering </strong>and the ability to effectively manage <strong>waterfront </strong>projects in the following areas of expertise.</p> <ul> <li>Shoreline promenades</li> <li>Dredging and dredged material management systems</li> <li>Pile-support structures</li> <li>Deep-water ports structures</li> <li>Hydraulic control and drainage structures</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who are we? </strong></p> <p>Here at Taylor we are a team. We offer medical and dental at no cost, vision, group life, medical leave, short- and long-term disability, extended illness leave, an operational bonus program, and much more!</p> <p><br /> <strong>Do you meet these requirements? </strong></p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a structural focus; Master of Science in Coastal Engineering preferred</li> <li>Experience: 8-15 years in structural engineering with marine structures, dredging design and planning, regulatory permitting in the State of Florida, and construction administration</li> <li>Registration: Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license</li> <li>Skills: Exceptional project management and oral and written English communication skills</li> <li>Possess advanced analytical and problem solving skills</li> <li>Capable of interpreting, spotting issues, and problems in complex, technical, scientific, and abstract information and diagrams</li> <li>Ability to carry out complex mathematical calculations</li> <li>Able to multi-task</li> <li>Able to work in or relocate to Destin, Jacksonville, Sarasota, Tampa, or West Palm Beach</li> </ul> <p>Additional experience in these areas is desirable:</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to motivate, initiate, and innovate</li> <li>Capability and interest in marketing and business development</li> <li>Construction observation experience specific to waterfront structures</li> <li>Preparation design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and technical reports</li> <li>Community involvement in engineering-based societies or organizations</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lifting up to (35) pounds unassisted</li> <li>Sitting for extended periods of time</li> <li>&nbsp;Possesses acceptable vision (with or without corrective lenses) to be able to see and navigate a computer screen</li> <li>Able to go out into the field and construction sites</li> </ul> <p><strong>Taylor Engineering, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.</strong></p>
