Software Engineer

<p>In need of a C++ developer who has experience working with Point of Sale (POS) development projects. This developer will be responsible for making new enhancements and supporting the POS systems in all the national retail stores.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with clients, business analyst and project managers to identify requirements, specifications, and projected time frames.</li> <li>Design, program, test, and implement required changes to the application.</li> <li>Answer and troubleshoot escalated software support phone calls pertaining to the POS system.</li> <li>Monitor and maintain software testing environment.</li> <li>Collaborate with the deployment team to create and test software packages that will be deployed in live stores.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>At least 4 years of recent experience designing and testing applications in C++.</li> <li>At least 2 years of experience doing software development with POS systems.</li> <li>Knowledge of interfacing POS systems with any external devices such as: scanners, money order machines, electronic safes, car wash controllers, signature capture devices, and so on.</li> <li>Experience with developing in a SQL Server 2008 environment.</li> <li>Ability to learn and update object oriented code.</li> <li>Must be a team player that works with a sense of urgency.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Must be passionate about development and quality control.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Any C# or VB development experience is a plus.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of credit processing transactions.</li> <li>Previous working experience with Radiant Systems POS.</li> </ul>
