Civil Engineer

<p>We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer for our Winston-Salem, NC office. This position will assist engineers with engineering design tasks, including <gwmw class="ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-3" id="gwmw-15591531815803388090256">development</gwmw> of plans, quantity calculations, cost estimating, and writing technical specifications.<br /> <br /> <strong>Duties:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and produce conceptual, preliminary and final design drawings</li> <li>Create quality drawings for municipal and regulatory agency review</li> <li>Prepare engineering calculations and reports</li> <li>Assist with construction administration</li> <li>Collaborate on permit/local approval submissions</li> <li>Conduct reviews of municipal projects</li> <li>Assist in solving problems and issues that arise during construction</li> <li>Administer material testing logs, verify materials meet specifications and requirements, and organize and keep on file all required material certifications</li> <li>Prepare front-end and technical specifications</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited college</li> <li>Demonstrates basic proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, have strong technical skills, and possess the ability to learn and apply new skills quickly and efficiently</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office <gwmw class="ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-3" id="gwmw-15591531892567143190235">software including</gwmw> Word, Excel, and Outlook is needed</li> <li>Works efficiently to complete tasks under strict schedule restraints</li> <li>Ability to work independently or within a team environment</li> <li>Self-starter with strong problem solving skills</li> <li>Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills</li> <li>Understands basic engineering theories and principles</li> <li>Understands basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternative, making sound recommendations</li> </ul> <p>The offer of employment for this position will be conditioned upon a satisfactory criminal background check.<br /> Company Perks</p> <ul> <li>Health/Dental Insurance</li> <li>401k Plan</li> <li>Short &amp; Long Term Disability</li> <li>Profit Sharing</li> <li>Paid Time Off</li> <li>Verizon Wireless Discount</li> <li>Gym Reimbursement</li> <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li> <li>Referral Bonus Program</li> <li>Wellness Program</li> <li>Team Building Events</li> <li>Community Service Events</li> </ul>
