Virtual Medical Coder Mommy Jobs Online (https://mommyjobsonline.com) is now looking for someone to fill the position of a Virtual Medical Coder to work in the U.S. only. JOB TYPE: Full-time; MUST be U.S. citizen. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Execute in-depth daily coding of pathology services received. ? Accurately abstract CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9, ICD-10, and modifiers as appropriate per clinical documentation. ? Query and provide feedback to providers and other clinical department personnel. ? Perform other related functions as required. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: ? High school diploma or a GED; or equivalent experience. ? Must be AHIMA or AAPC certified. ? Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS, RHIT or RHIA . ? Three years of coding experience in Surgical Pathology Profee Coding. ? MUST have worked in Profee Coding within the last year. ? Epic and 3M experience is required. ? Experience in Orthopedic surgical coding is required; prefer specific experience with foot and ankle and oncologic coding. ? Strong skills in CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10, & HCPC coding applications. ? Abstraction of Evaluation and Management Rules (1995 and 1997) is preferred. ? Coding and knowledge of minor procedures is preferred.
