<p><strong>Janitors and Building Cleaners</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>A janitor is anyone who cleans or maintains any building such as hospitals, schools, residential accommodation, and office spaces.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Duties:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Gather and empty trash bins into the dumpster</li> <li>Sweep/ Vacuum and mop building floors</li> <li>Clean restrooms and restock supplies</li> <li>Lock doors to secure buildings</li> <li>Ensure clean-up of spills of any hazardous chemical with the appropriate equipment</li> <li>Wash windows and glass</li> <li>Place orders for cleaning supplies</li> <li>Notify managers of any repairs</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Must have a high school GED or diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Must be able to perform basic janitorial tasks such as sweep, vacuum, and mop</li> <li>Must be able to know and differentiate types of chemicals to use</li> <li>Not required but should have certification that shows competence.</li> <li>Must be able to work in a team.</li> <li>Must be able to work weekends and holidays.</li> <li>Must possess, interpersonal, mechanical, physical and time management skills.</li> <li>Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Day to Day operations of a Janitor:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Ensure floors are cleaned and mopped for business operations the next day</li> <li>Ensure trash removal</li> <li>Ensure restroom supplies are restocked and toilets and sinks are cleaned.</li> <li>Be on site for any spills or accidents.</li> <li>Maintain the company&#39;s cleaning equipment</li> </ul> &nbsp; <p>Superintendents/Janitors</p>
