DevOps Engineer

Description Fortinet is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing product engineering team specialized in design and development of enterprise grade security products. They will work closely with project leads, managers and stakeholders to design, implement, deploy and support critical product infrastructure in the cloud while enabling the development team through CI/CD workflows and tools. The ideal candidate is not only technical, but also energetic and passionate about working for Fortinet and developing our products. Job Responsibilities: • Problem solving, debugging, and the ability to think analytically • Follow best DevOps practices for deployments, availability, performance, monitoring and automation • Be self-motivated and creative who can work well both independently and in a team setting • Have a DevOps mindset • Willingness to learn new skills • Ability to meet deadlines • Scripting and coding (IaC, Bash, Powershell, Python, GO) • Willingness to help with other activities in the team • Reviewing and maintaining existing documentation as well as documenting any new processes and procedures Job Experience Required: • Experience with versioning technologies • Extensive experience and knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Knowledge and experience of additional PaaS highly desirable • Experience and knowledge in deploying highly available LAMP stack applications • Terraform (or another Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platform) • Knowledge of Fortinet products (an asset) • SQL or NoSQL databases • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Educational Requirement: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is desirable. • Certifications in networking (NSE/CCIE/CCNP/CCSP), cloud platforms and or other relevant certifications would be highly desirable
