SAFETY/ENVIRONMENTAL & TRAINING COORDINATOR


We are an industry-leading manufacturing company with an immediate opening for an experienced Safety / Environmental & Training Coordinator.

Salary is up to $65,000  based on experience.



 

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Monday to Friday, 1st Shift, with occasional weekend day

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

 
  • Responsible for managing and creating training Dojo activities for the Brewer Facility
  • Leads the investigation of incidents and injuries to determine root cause and corrective actions
  • Maintains Safety Program, files, procedures, programs and records in compliance with regulatory agencies
  • Administers the workers? compensation program and works with our insurance carrier and team members to help mitigate the impact to our team members
  • Maintains the OSHA 300 log and annual electronic filing as required
  • Inspects facility to detect existing or potential accident/health hazards
  • Performs Job Safety Analysis based on an annualized schedule in conjunction with other trained individuals
  • Procures outside contractors when necessary to conduct safety compliance audits as necessary
  • Participates in Safety Audits and Workers? Compensation Annual Audits
  • Develops training materials, evaluation procedures, visual aids and other resources to meet safety, environmental and other training requirements
  • Effectively presents information and responds to questions from groups of team members and managers
  • Conducts and coordinates new hire orientation and ongoing safety, 5S and other training programs to foster positive attitude toward company goals
  • Creates and implements training programs based on identified training needs and changes in products or procedures
  • Fosters a safety culture throughout the organization to follow established procedures as outlined in the published guidelines and policies
 
 
 
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
 
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910; Database software; Human Resource systems; Presentation software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
