Job Title: Java Developer Location: McLean. VA Duration: Contract Job Description: Senior Lead (Full Stack) Developer must have at least 5 years of experience with the development, deployment, and maintenance of software within the context of the Agile process. S/he fulfils requirements and delivers solutions across both Backend and Frontend Development roles under the rubric of Application Development Services, as directed by the Client and designated Client leads on assigned tasks/activities. Senior Lead Developer can and offers supervisory guidance and technical coordination to facilitate successful technical delivery by the more junior HTC Application Development team members at Client as applicable. ? Review and influence ongoing front-end design, standards, and methods for Client online presence, leveraging web development technologies and frameworks such as Spring, Struts, HTML5, JavaScript Object Notation (?JSON?), extensible Markup Language (?XML?) and jQuery. ? Develop solutions for stable, secure, high-volume web-based applications through rapid delivery methodology such as Agile. ? Provide code reviews, third-party services reviews, and engagement to meet the requirements of the Client product roadmap. ? Provide consultation on web security architecture. ? Develop, test, and implement internet applications using enterprise-approved technologies to meet performance and security requirements in the production environment. ? Take corrective action when software problems are discovered. ? Participate in off-hours "on-call" support for production systems on a rotating basis. ? Frontend Development, tests, and implements internet applications using enterprise-approved technologies to ensure high performance and security in a production environment. ? Front-end coding within applications that utilize JSP-like scripting languages ? Supporting high volume website of changes and quick turnaround expectations with excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution skills ? Provides best practice guidance to colleagues and Client during web project discovery and strategy phase to ensure applications are developed in support of internet projects will be stable, secure, scalable, and maintainable. ? Use Client DSM Atlassian Software for task & tickets tracking tool (aka ?JIRA?) for scrum delivery documentation for work breakdown, code, defect, and bug management ? Correct defects and provide fixes as prioritized by Client. ? Works creatively as part of a team including QA, product, and development, and has excellent verbal and written communication skills ? Support other team members with technical coordination and guidance when applicable to ensure successful technical delivery on time, within budget, and according to standard/requirements ? Spring boot, Thyme leaf, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySql ? Splunk, CD/CLI, GIT ? Micro Services experience ? Any front-end framework (Angular, RectJS, VueJs, etc) ? Any cloud experience also as optional (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMWare) ? Apache Kafka (or similar) -- optional ? Exposure to decentralized cache ? Experience working with any of Testing frameworks (Junit, Mockito, Selenium etc.,). Knowledge of Unit Testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, and Acceptance testing is a must. ? Understands security standards like PCI, PPI, and PHI. ? Experience with Agile or Kanban and exposure to tools like Jira, and Confluence.
