Job Description The position will understand all concepts of the annual operating budget process, providing assistance to the Budget Manager, to ensure a successful completion of the annual operating budget. This will include setup and maintenance in the budgeting system, providing actual-to-budget variance analysis, validating general ledger data, meeting with operations staff to discuss budgeting needs, coordinating with operations finance staff, synchronizing inter/intra-company budgets, consolidating the system budget, creating Board presentations, and providing guidance/development to Budget Analyst. The successful candidate will use judgment in applying concepts and guidelines, and will analyze and resolve complex issues with limited supervision. This position will also be involved in the implementation of a new budgeting system as well as periodically assisting in long-range financial planning, capital budgeting, ad hoc operations reporting, and statistical analysis. Job Duties Budgeting system setup and maintenance Perform actual-to-budget variance analysis Data validation for inclusion in budget models Support Operations Finance during budget process Meet with and gather relevant data from operations staff Consolidate operating budget Prepare and maintain budget system reporting Data integrity between source system(s) and budgeting system Coordinate inter/intra-company budgets between entities Create system budget presentation for the Board of Directors Provide guidance and development to Budget Analyst. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education, Credentials, Licenses: ? B.S. in Accounting/Finance/similar field Specialized Knowledge: ? Proficient in Microsoft products, especially Excel ? Accounting fundamentals Kind and Length of Experience: ? 5+ years? experience
