Position Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

 

Summary: Peak Healthcare at Patapsco is searching for a Registered Nurse to fill a leadership role in several of our skilled nursing facilities. We are looking for a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing with the high-energy skills needed to lead the nursing department while practicing with integrity, compassion, and commitment, to bring the quality care delivered to new levels. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for providing supervision of nursing and support staff on assigned shift in skilled facility setting. Additional responsibilities include providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients. The ADON works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and mental health needs and works to enforce clinical care standards and develop strategies to measure outcomes of specialized nursing practices to access and improve new interventions. The Assistant Director of Nursing embraces leadership and delivers a high level of care and support for our residents.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Applicant uses their knowledge, skillset, and competence to lead our clinical employees in setting the best practice standards with regards to the outstanding care and customer service delivered to the diverse groups of patients and residents. The quality of care will be served in a manner and environment that promotes maintenance or enhancement of each resident?s quality of life which will also provide dignity and respect in full recognition of each resident?s individuality. Candidates must have a proven ability to implement and maintain consistent clinical systems, maintain a professional philosophy which grows and adapts to the prevailing philosophy of the industry and imparts this philosophy to the nursing staff, achieve top notch quality measures and industry leading key clinical metrics, while delivering outstanding outcomes. All these are amongst the most important traits Peak Healthcare is seeking to lead our nursing team. The ideal individual will understand the importance of developing excellent culture, fostering an environment that will support everyone on the healthcare delivery team, to benefit our residents, and must possess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced and the highly collaborative environment is crucial to an effective leader.

 

Requirements:  

Master?s degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Current Maryland RN licensure

Progressive management experience in an acute or long-term care setting
