Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is currently in search of an energetic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist in leading our 160 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will work with the Director of Nursing in creating an environment where staff are engaged and focused on providing the highest level of care and compassion to residents and their families.  Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities: Assist in directing all operations of the Nursing Department including compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Work to improve the quality of patient care and services being delivered.    Oversee and mentor the nursing team to ensure quality customer service. Monitor and audit care being administered by staff. Ensure nursing services meet the needs of all residents. Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Requirements: Registered Nurse with current New York State license. Extensive knowledge of long term care operations and regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to manage a large and diverse workforce. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, families, regulators and the community. Previous experience in a nursing leadership position in long term care. Excellent communication skills.
